Thomas ("Tom") Sorensen (born April 6, 1971 in Racine, Wisconsin) is a former American volleyball player, who represented the United States men's national volleyball team at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. There Team USA finished in ninth place, after having claimed the bronze medal two years earlier at the World Championships.
A major in liberal arts at Pepperdine University, Sorensen originally joined USA national team during '91 World League campaign. His cousin, Kevin Sorensen, played for national team in numerous international events, including the 1979 Pan American Games and NORCECA Zone Championships, as well as in the now-defunct, professional International Volleyball Association.
Tom is a graduate of Racine Case High School in Racine, Wisconsin.
