Tom McWilliams is an Emmy winning and Grammy nominated Songwriter and Producer. McWilliams is also the recipient of BMI Awards. McWilliams achieved early success as the drummer of MCA artist Critical Mass. McWilliams is also considered one of the pioneers of drum programing by Artists and Producers.
In 1989, McWilliams was signed as a songwriter and producer by Emelio Estefan for Foreign Imported Production & Publishing (FIPP). During his 15 year's with FIPP, he wrote, programmed and produced for such artists as Jon Secada, Gloria Estefan, Lindsey Lohan, Paulina Rubio, Rabanes, Sammy Hagar and Ricky Martin. McWilliams also toured extensively with Jon Secada as his Musical Director and Drummer. McWilliams also created the music for "The Siren's of TI", at the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV.
In 2005 he formed Monstro Visionary Entertainment with partner Steve Altman. The same year Monstro signed British singer Lauren Harris who quickly rose to fame as one of the top myspace Artists, before signing to Demolition DR2 Records. McWilliams wrote and produced Lauren's debut album "Calm Before The Storm".
McWilliams also tours with Harris as her Musical Director and Drummer. (Harris and her band have toured with IRON MAIDEN, WITHIN TEMPTATION, TRIVIUM, THE ANSWER and ALICE COOPER). During his June 3rd, 2008 performance as an opener for Iron Maiden, McWilliams clearly missed cymbals when he meant to strike them. On the June 9th, 2008 show in Winnipeg, he came out, did a roll, flipped a drum stick in the air and dropped it, as the first thing he did.
