Thomas "Tom" McGroarty is an American Democratic Party politician who served as the mayor of the city of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania from 1996 to 2004.

Today, according to the Wilkes-Barre Times Leader newspaper, McGroarty is working in the Pennsylvania Health Department Office of Emergency Medical Services.
