Tom Caplen

Tom Caplen (November 23, 1879 — April 17, 1945) was an English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm fast bowler who played for Kent. He was born in Rusthall and died in Hove.
Caplen made his first and only first-class appearance during the 1897 season, when he was aged just seventeen. He had previously made at least two appearances for the Kent Second XI, the first in August 1895, when he was aged just 15.
In 1898, he made one Minor Counties Championship appearance for Cornwall, and in 1902 he played for the Madras Presidency against the OU Authentics.
