Tom Baker (Screenwriter)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tom Baker is a British screenwriter. He co-wrote 'Witchfinder General' (1968)[1] and 'The Sorcerers' [2] (1967) with childhood friend Michael Reeves, the director of the films who died of a drug overdose at the age of 24.
The Witchfinder General was based on a novel by Ronald Bassett and the script has been criticised for ignoring historical accuracy in its portrayal of witch hunts in England at the time of the civil war [3]. The Sorcerers was based on a story by John Burke [4].
Baker appeared in Andrew Starke's documentary about Reeves, the 'Blood Beast" [5] in 1999.
