Tom Amstutz

Tom Amstutz(Born August 30, 1955) is the head football coach at Toledo. He is one of Toledo's most popular figures, as he has lived his entire life in Toledo. He even played college football at Toledo. He has been Toledo's head football coach since 2001, and has posted a 45-18(.714) record, including a 31-8 record in conference play. This has made him one of Toledo's most prolific coaches. He has also served as a long time assistant coach at Toledo, from 1977 to 1986, and from 1990 to 2000.
His record as an assistant coach at Toledo is 141-90-5, including a conference record of 109-62-5. He has accomplished more for the Toledo football program than any other coach. From 1987 to 1989, he served as an assistant coach at Navy.
