[edit] Mad magazine

I had been requested to provide a citation for my quote from Mad Magazine. I have added the citation in the text of the article; but I'm still unclear about what to do about the "citation needed" notice. Dougie monty 07:33, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

I took out the tag; if you have the volume and issue number, that would be useful also. MisfitToys 21:57, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Well, I know it's Volume One, and for all these years MAD has been published it's still in Volume One. As for the issue number, that I don't know--it was in 1963 or 1964, and, because of a letter the magazine published two issues later, I know it was about the time Wilt Chamberlain was traded from the Golden State Warriors to the Philadelphia 76ers. Very likely it was in the Number 80s or thereabouts. (I remember seeing the article as it was printed in a monthly issue, but I don't remember which issue; Gorman was a regular NL umpire at the time.) Dougie monty 06:59, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
