Articles for deletion This article was nominated for deletion on 7 December 2007. The result of the discussion was speedy keep, but the speedy keep was reverted as inappropriate and a second discussion opened, which was closed as keep per WP:SNOW.

This article is USA biased, even though the company is European and is more dominant in Europe than the US. The list of mobile networks compatible with certain devices shows only US networks. This should either be removed or show a complete list of compatible networks. --Whoredom (talk) 11:31, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

We have been dealing with TomTom product since their very first release.

It is evident that tomtom has grown from strength to strength. It is also clear that they have made significant inroads and advances to satellite navigation technology. But one must keep in perspective that tomtom is one of many successful satellite navigation companies. In fact it was GARMIN who first utilised the technology and produced it for military use. Military applications have meant that GARMIN are in fact larger than tomtom, but as tomtom as concentrated on the civilian market, they appear to have been more successful.

Personally I feel the whole 'Products and Services' section is little more than an advertisment. The rest (assuming it is accurate) is fine. Could do with a bit of crticism (a lot of news stories about people being sent down landrover tracks etc.) although as TomTom has such a large market share it is inevitable that they have become a generic term for SatNav, and thereby (in the same way as the iPod) the most criticised.

"The current service staff have to keep their call time under 6 minutes, making "getting rid of the customer" the agent's first priority as opposed to helping and fixing problems." Seems a bit unbalanced. Either needs a source or some other justification. Otherwise, it's a rant by a irate customer 217.34.75.65 09:11, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
