Welcome]], and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and the articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to Jesus College Boat Club (Oxford). Readers looking for serious articles will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you can write (almost) whatever you want. Thank you. Yes, please stop. Adding humour does not help the encyclopedia. They will just get reverted and if you keep doing it, you will get blocked from editing Wikipedia. It is in fact much more satisfactory trying to improve Wikipedia and you will certainly have more of a future here if you do. Take care. --Bduke 08:58, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Yay we now appear to have a draw. 1 all. Although unfortunately I deleted the result of the last 1 which i spose does seem a little unfair. Needless to say any edit tothese pages is always reverted wether genuine or not I believe they ort to stop being so possesive just testing. Toload1

The Barnstar of Good Humor
For seeeing the funny side!

}}}Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to Trinity College, Cambridge. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Thank you. -- Why Not A Duck 00:31, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Adoption:

Hello! I see that you were requesting adoption, being an experienced editor, I would like to offer my services. However, you already seem to be fairly experienced yourself. Take a look at my adoption page and tell me what things you don't know yet, otherwise the programme might seem a bit boring. Anyway, just drop me a line on my talk page, and we'll work it out from there. --HAL2008talk 14:35, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Adoption template

Hi. I see that User:HAL2008 has offered you adoption, so I changed the template on your user page to reflect this. If you should want a different adopter, you may feel free to replace the {{adoptoffer}} on your user page with {{subst:dated adoptme}}. Have a nice day. --Sopoforic 21:47, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
