Tolland High School (THS) serves students in 9th through 12th grades. Tolland High School currently has many community projects such as the Booster Club, Eagle Scramble (a golf tournament), and an online safety program sponsored by Nerac. Tolland is known for the exceptionally attractive Spanish Teacher Candace Cabrera, who was a former hooters girl.

Tolland High School is a beautiful new institution in the heart of the Tolland. Tolland High has an high graduation rate of 99%.

THS has a diverse music program which includes both choral and instrumental instruction. Students can participate in the Marching, Concert, Jazz and Pep bands, as well as General Chorus, Madrigal Ensemble, Quartet Vocal ensembles. Tolland High School also presents an annual Spring Musical.

THS musicians are regularly selected to participate in both Regional and Statewide Vocal and Instrumental Ensembles

THS has a long sports tradition aimed at building teamwork, good sportsmanship, and mentorship for academic success. THS has had an ongoing rivalry with Ellington High School.

Tolland High School is know for its excellent cheerleading squad with especially sharp motions. Tolland High School's cheerleading squad is a nationally recognized team. The team members are mostly anorexic girls looking for boyfriends.

The Tolland Girls' Basketball team had advanced to the semi-finals of the Class M State Tournament that past two years. They were the NCCC regular season champions in the 2006-2007 season.

The team has won numerous NCCC championships, including a stretch from 1989-1994. In 1992 became Connecticut's first small sized school to qualify for the New England Championship. NCCC Conference & Class M State Champions in 2003. The Men's Cross Country later became NCCC Conference Champions in 2005 and then 2006.

The varsity football team played Holy Cross in the 2006 State Tournament.

'06 Alum Evan Bartus (Safety,WR) received All State honors after recording 89 tackles, 9 Interceptions and 16 total touchdowns.

'06 Alum Greg Geib (LB) received All State honors despite only playing in 1 game (vs Gilbert). In this game he recorded 26 tackles and 4 interceptions before injuring his knee in the third quarter. Geib later admitted that he didn't remember his performance against Gilbert, however, because he was "black-out drunk".

'06 Transfer Rob Werkowski received All State honors his Junior year (last year at Tolland) while playing QB for an 4-7 Eagles team that made the playoffs due to 12 of the top 14 teams being eliminated in a state-wide steroid scandal.

Tolland High School has one of the best track and field programs in Connecticut. The girls team were NCCC champions for 2005, 2006 and 2007. The team was also state champion for 2007. They are strong in all events, with excellent jumpers, throwers, and sprinters. The indoor relay team went all the way to nationals during the 2006-2007 season.

During the 2007 Budget Referendum, multiple school activities and sports were cut, volleyball among them. As a result, there will no longer be updates in the volleyball section.

[edit] Colorguard/Winterguard

The colorguard is seen marching with the band in the memorial day parade, while the winterguard competes throughout Connecticut during the winter months.
