Todor Bozhinov (Bulgarian: Тодор Божинов; last name also transliterated as Bojinov or Božinov, or even as Thodor Bozhinoff if you like ye olde system :P) is a Bulgarian Wikipedian. Born and living in the central northern town of Pleven, he is notable for maintaining the Wikiportal Bulgaria, as well as initiating the WikiProject Bulgaria, though one might easily argue these are not exactly major contributions.[citation needed]
Working mostly on Bulgaria-related topics (but, according to himself, not limiting himself to the sphere), Bozhinov has written more than 500 articles,[citation needed] almost all related to his mother country and the vast majority of which either seriously content-lacking stubs or mediocre translations from Bulgarian. He also claims[citation needed] to have contributed to many other articles, mostly related to his interests.
Bozhinov's interests include: graphic design, corporate identity, logo design, photography; Bulgarians, Bulgarian language, Slavs, Slavic languages, Slavic mythology; history, history of Bulgaria, history of the Balkans; linguistics, etymology, toponymy; ethnography; industrial metal, Neue Deutsche Härte, EBM, German music, Rammstein, Megaherz, Eisbrecher, Oomph!; sports, football (soccer), Arsenal FC, eight-ball, snooker, Ronnie O'Sullivan; tourism.
According to Bozhinov, his mother tongue is Bulgarian, and he considers it to be the same language as Macedonian. In addition, he rates his level of English as advanced, claims to speak German quite well, and to have a basic knowledge of Serbo-Croatian and all the languages that this name used to represent, as well as Russian.[citation needed]
In terms of religion, Todor Bozhinov is at least nominally a Bulgarian Orthodox Christian, though he claims to fully support the concept of ecumenism (in the narrow sense). He is an ethnic Bulgarian, thus of Slavic ancestry.
It is said that this user has visited (apart from his native Bulgaria in the European Union), other countries on
Earth such as Austria (Vienna twice, Salzburg, Innsbruck), Italy (Venice three times, Florence, Verona),
France (Paris, Cannes, Nice, Strasbourg, Colmar), Germany (Munich, Chiemsee, Freiburg, Stuttgart, Black Forest), Monaco, Liechtenstein (Vaduz), Switzerland (Lucerne, Zurich, Berne, Geneva, Lausanne, Montreux, Vevey) and the United Kingdom (London, Hastings, Brighton, Battle, East Sussex, all in England). He has also passed through Serbia (incl. through Belgrade), Croatia, Slovenia (incl. through Ljubljana) and Hungary.
[edit] List of contributions
This is a list of what the user claims to be his major contributions, although many of these have been disputed or their authenticity questioned. The user also claims to have considerably contributed to two articles, which he is said to have brought to featured article status: Ivan Alexander of Bulgaria and Simeon I of Bulgaria. He is also said to to have authored one good article: Banat Bulgarians.
