Toddbrook Reservoir was built in 1831 as a feeder for the Peak Forest Canal.[1] It is in the heart of Whaley Bridge in the High Peak, Derbyshire. The reservoir is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The reservoir is a habitat for herons, ducks and other animals and fish. Also many rare mosses and liverworts grow on the shores. The reservoir is also used for sailing[1] and angling. It hoasts many sailing events including DYS (Derbysire Youth Sailing).The reservoir is owned by British Waterways and is a feeder reservoir for the goyt valley canal system along with coombs reservoir.
