Todd Plant

J. Todd Plant (b. March 31, 1958) is an American singer. He is currently lead singer with the progressive rock band Cryptic Vision. Plant also performs with the classic rock groups The Chet McCracken Band, Santana Tribute Band Supernatural, and the corporate variety band Southtown Fever .

Todd Plant was born on March 31, 1958 in Schenectady, New York. He was raised in Tampa, Florida. Plant’s credits include recording and/or performing with former members of The Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan, Chicago, Kansas, Firefall, Marshall Tucker Band, Buddy Miles (former Jimi Hendrix/Santana (band) drummer), and has worked with former producers of Metallica, Deep Purple, AC/DC, Rick Derringer, and Sly & the Family Stone to name a few. Heard by millions as the singer of Hulk Hogan’s theme song “American Made” that was played on TBS/TNT networks throughout the 90's. Plant and guitarist Ralph Santolla (of Deicide and Death (band) fame) led the melodic rock bands Eyewitness and Millennium which were featured on MTV Europe, had their videos aired on Japanese TV, and appeared on a live prime-time variety show in Munich. In 1999 he formed a band with former Doobie Brothers drummer Chet McCracken performing at festivals, bike events and casinos all over the US. Cryptic Vision is currently recording for ProgRock Records and performing at festivals.
