Todd Edward Johnson (born December 18, 1978 in Sarasota, Florida) is an American football safety for the St. Louis Rams of the NFL. As a standout defensive back at Sarasota's Riverview High School, Todd Johnson was All-State and All-American as a senior, as well as setting the school record for the 110 hurdles. At the University of Florida he was an All-SEC performer. He was selected with the third pick of the fourth round of the 2003 NFL Draft out of the University of Florida by the Chicago Bears. Johnson was released following the 2006 Chicago Bears season. Johnson was Mike Brown's immediate surrogate during his tenure with the Bears, and saw extended playing time following Brown's season-ending injury. Johnson signed a 4 year contract to play with the St. Louis Rams on March 12, 2007.
