Todd Frazier

Todd Frazier is a Minor League Baseball infielder. He was drafted #34 overall by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft.[1] He played in college for Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Frazier first gained fame for leading Toms River, New Jersey to victory in the 1998 Little League World Series.[2] He played his high school ball at Toms River High School South.[3] Frazier won Big East player of the year in 2007 and was named a Rivals.com All-American.[4]

Frazier is a 6'4, 220lb, right-handed shortstop in college, who is expected to move to another position for the Reds. In 2007, he started all 63 games for Rutgers, putting up a .377 batting average, a .502 on-base percentage, and a .757 slugging percentage.

On July 11, 2007, Frazier made his professional debut as a designated hitter for the Billings Mustangs (the Reds Rookie-Advanced farm team in the Pioneer League). He went 2-for-4 with 2 singles, an RBI and a run scored as the beer batter, a popular promotion at Mustangs games.[5] On July 13 Frazier plated the tying run from second in a 5-4 game against the Orem Owlz in the 12th inning. Frazier, with an 0-2 count and two out, lined a single to center field scoring Brandon Menchaca. Frazier would score the winning run on Jason Bour's single that same inning.[6]

Frazier finished the 2007 season with the Dayton Dragons.
