Todd Clever (born 16 January 1983) is an American rugby union player. He currently plays for OMBAC, and for the United States national side. Clever began playing rugby in high school and was named to the USA U19 team in 2001. In college, he played for University of Nevada, Reno and was a 3-time College All-American while there. Clever made his international debut against Argentina in August 2003, at the age of 20[1]. In rugby union Clever plays flanker, but while playing for the USA Sevens side he plays prop. Clever was included in the USA squad for the 2007 World Cup, where he intercepted a pass against South Africa that lead to Z Ngwenya scoring the "try of the world cup"[2].
