Wow what a mess for Harris! Half of the stuff written is total crap. Opinions are like you know what, and most of them stink! Lighten up on the guy, he is young and with time I think he will be very good. Get your quotes and facts correct before you write this rubbish.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.2.86.202 (talk • contribs) 22:31, 9 November 2005 (UTC)

The above poster's colorful remarks aside, this does have an apparent POV issue. So much time is spent on criticism of Harris and very little is spent on anything beyond his IRL stint, let alone on anything positive he's done. A grand total of three paragraphs (of one sentence each) even talk about any broadcast experience he's had beyond racing, and most of what's left comes across as an anti-Harris diatribe. With work this can become on par with a lot of other sports broadcaster articles, but it needs to become more encyclopedic and even-handed. 67.150.214.117 04:34, 3 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Todd Harris

I have had the pleasure of working with Mr. Harris and as a reporter he is very knowledgable about the field of sports. Every reporter gets a little bit excited sometimes, especially concerning an event that penetrates their spirit. Reporting can be hard at times, as reporters they are told to remain objective and report only the facts. However, staying objective and just reporting the facts is not what peaks the viewers interest, it's the passion behind the story. This passion can only be conveyed through the reporter.

Maybe he did get some facts wrong, but what reporter/newstation hasn't. This is not excusing the importance of accuracy, but it's merely saying that we all make mistakes, so get over it. It is a sad day when the only thing people can see is your mistakes and only write a couple of sentences about your life accomplishments after a hard days work.--198.49.157.11 18:25, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

Unfortunately this is the day and age we live in. I to have worked with Todd Harris on a professional level and have never known him to "get his facts wrong". He is as thorough as you get when it comes to sports reporting. He is a producers dream to work with, and is just a great guy. I'm quite certain much of the rubbish written about him comes from jealous industry has beens or never was types who see him as a threat to their 15 minutes of possible fame. He was great at the IRL and the ratings show it. Look at the IRL now! What a mess, and more importantly who cares about the IRL- its a total afterthought. Harris was set back by t he new brass at espn who were handed the reins of ABC and decided that their agenda would be to reward their faithful desk jockeys at sportscenter and those with fat contracts who were doing nothing with choice assignments that should have gone to the more talented. Welcome to the politics of Broadcast sports!

The powers that be at ESPN and ABC should just leave this guy alone on a project for more than a season, He does a great job on college football and I suspect thats mostly due to the fact that he worked with the great Keith Jackson for 7 years. He was great at the Games stepping in for that foul mouthed Dana Jacobsen who seems to love Vodka and using the Lords name in a very disrespectful way. So as long as he is around I will be a fan because at least he has class and is NOT a drunken clown! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.202.39.42 (talk) 17:05, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
