Toc-H Institute of Science and Technology is an engineering college located at Kochi, India. The college is promoted by the Indian wing of the Toc-H Society.

  • Prof. P.J. Joseph, President

He is the President of Toc H Institute of Science & Technology, and also the President of Toc H Public School, Vyttila, Kochi. He is the former Professor and Head of Post Graduate and Research Department of English at Union Christian College, Alwaye. He was the member of the Board of Studies of Mahatma Gandhi University and edited text books for the University.

  • Dr. K. Varghese, Manager.

Founder Manager and Director of Toc H Institute of Science and Technology and also Toc H Schools at Cochin, Tripunithura and Punalur. A committed social worker who founded ‘Chaitanya’ (home for the mentally retarded) run by YMCA, Ernakulam. He donated land for starting and running a Trade School run by rotary Club of Cochin East of which he was the Founder Chairman.

Secretary of the School and the Engineering College. Former state player and first captain of Kerala University basket ball team and Treasurer of All Kerala CBSE School Management Association.

Treasurer of the School and the Engineering College. An active person in the field of residential building construction and prominent person in social work with the church activities.

  • SCIENCE CLUB

A telescope is being installed in the institute to stimulate the curiosity among students of Engineering on nature & behavior. The objectives of the club are to formulate applications of scientific principles to engineering and technology make prototype of models explaining scientific principles, conduct awareness on the innovations.

  • SPECTA

To bring out the hidden entrepreneurial sprit, money and creative talents among young Engineers, the Institute has started an entrepreneurship cell called SPECTA. Following products were launched by SPECTA :

  • Emergency lamps
  • CFL ( Compact Fluorescent lamps)
  • Electronic Choke
  • Designing of personalized greeting cards, Identity cards.
  • Hard binding & Spiral Binding
  • Software Developing


  • AUGMENTATION LAB

Computer Science Department has set up an Augmentation laboratory to introduce new computer concept to the students and faculty. This lab uses the latest IT technologies to deliver knowledge to trainees.

  • INDUSTRY INSTITUTE INTERACTION CELL

TIST believes in nurturing engineers who are employable. For this purpose we have entered into MOU with a few Companies for conducting training classes to expose students to the Industry needs. In addition regular Industrial visit are arranged for the students to give them a feel of the Industry ambience.

  • TECHNOLOGIES FOR RURAL DEVELOPMENT

Most of the emerging technologies are products of multi disciplinary research. Technologies are not ends by themselves; they are means of ends. TIST understands this concept and has taken initiatives to focus on applications of these technologies for reducing disparity between the rich and poor. TIST has identified Green house technology for this purpose.

  • PHOTO AND VIDEO CLUB

The institution has set up a photo and video club to encourage the creative talents of students in photography. The club also proposes to expand into the field of video processing and animation.

  • MUSIC CLUB

The institution has started a music Club, to bring out the music talents in students. The Club will be soon having its own orchestra group.

  • EARN WHILE YOU LEARN

The college provides opportunity for the financially weak students to earn while they study in the institute. They are given minor works in the administrative department.

  • WORLD OUTSIDE PROGRAMME

Current affairs are made available to the students through the World Outside programme which is organized on all Friday afternoons by the experts in different fields.

  • SOFT SKILL DEVELOPMENT FACILITIES (SSDF)

The institute gives top priority for developing soft skill of the student to complement their technical skills. SSDF is started for coordinating all such activities of different departments.

Within the college there are several dysfunctional units with great intentions.

  • TRIIE(TIST Centre for Innovation, Incubation & Entrepreneurship) has been set up to impart practical training the budding engineers and develop them as future entrepreneurs of our country.
  • TIFERS (TIst Foundation for Economically backward and Rural Students) is headed by Dr. P. P. Mathews. This foundation partly fund educational needs of rural poor students who wish to take up Engineering as their profession.
  • SPECTA (Society for Promotion of Entrepreneurship and Creative TAlents) is headed by Mr. Nisam Rahman. This entrepreneurship cell has been started to bring out the hidden entrepreneurial spirit and creative talents among young engineers.
