[edit] Merging?
I would oppose the merge. We have articles on characters in Doctor Who, The Simpsons, etc - we should certainly have them on major Shakespearean characters. It needs expansion, not merging. --OpenToppedBus - Talk 16:36, Jun 23, 2005 (UTC)
--While it is true that Shakespearean characters should not be overlooked when considering the fact that there are pages for characters in popular culture, the amount of information given about Sir Toby is not nearly enough to justify having a completely separate character page. The few sentences on Sir Toby could just as easily be included in the Twelfth Night page.
I agree with OpenToppedBus. He's a significant (and popular) character in a well-known play and fully deserves a page. Supersonic^ 18:08, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
I agree with OpenToppedBus and Supersonic, but for reasons of practicality. Why does the Sir Toby page need to be on the Twelfth Night page when the link in the plot outline makes it just as accessable as if it was part of the same page.
I agree with OpenToppedBus. Sir Toby Belch is important and should have his own page and perhaps more written on him than is written now but that would not be practical if it were included on the Twelth Night page as it would make the page to cluttered. Dolphonia 17:04, 23 September 2006 (GMT)
