[edit] Removed redirect

Fellow Editors: I removed the redirect to Hueyi Tlatoani and copyedited the earlier text. Why? Well, there are a lot of articles (e.g. Nezahualcoyotl) that refer to tlatoani but not the Hueyi Tlatoani. In other words, these 2 articles are complementary and not overlapping. Regarding Tlatoani,I agree with the translation in speaker, the main responsability of him was direct the state, the government but as a first minister. As well as a parlament, here existed an old man council conformed by important and well recognized man that came from the four neighboardhoods, as well as priest, military top people and important people comming from the Tezcuco (Texcoco) and Tlacopan (Tacuba), they where taking the main and must important desitions and the Tlatoani was in charge to make it happen. The Tlatoani was not considered a good or designed by good as the Kings in Europe, furthermore, the Mexicas (Aztecs is the name they used before the fundation of Mexihco-Tenochtitlan, so it is correct name them Mexica or Tenochca not Aztecs) did not used the inherit in government positions, they where choosen by the councile according the needs of the alliance, some one more political, or administrative, or more oriented to the war and was choosen from the families that was on the top amd that proveed skills, high inteligence, knowledge, concius and great background as student, as a soldier and even as a priest. A tolatoani never was over the council, they never became emperors and they always had a dual force in the government, the Cihuacoatl, that gave balance and was always behind, guiding, giving the strategy and taking care about very important and determinant issues/situations that can put in danger the Federation.

I hope this contribution help to find other vision of our form to live and our past and heritage.

I don't see why both terms can't be explained in single article, unless you one to keep this one forever as a draft. If you extend it, it will eventually have to include the concept of hueyi tlatoani. --the Dúnadan 21:16, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
