The Tatyasaheb Kore Institute of Engineering & Technology (TKIET), founded in 1983, offers courses in computer science and in mechanical, chemical, civil and electronic engineering. TKIET is recognized by the government of Maharashtra, and is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education[1], New Delhi. It is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi. The Institute is affiliated with Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
TKIET is situated on a 30-acre campus (120,000 m²) 30 km northwest of Kolhapur city in rural Warananagar. The Engineering College has 1000 students.
