Pointy-Haired Boss
In Talk:Pointy-Haired_Boss, I note my respectful disagreement with your decision 2007-04-07 T06:01:58 to remove the section "Other fictional characters with some PHB traits." Nevertheless, your comments (and vote) are welcome in that section. Thank you.grubbmeister 21:16, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
Welcome back
Good to see you around again! I myself have been less and less active — mainly just doing reverts of vandalism and spam/trivia — primarily due to work and that fiend World of Warcraft. Unfortunately I've done virtually nothing in regards to the machinima collaboration proposal, due to forgetfulness and laziness. How have things been for you?--Drat (Talk) 10:10, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

In response too your deletion of the Tales of the Past mention
As i have already stated in the Machinima There are indeed multiple works of notibility and refrences too include the Tales of the Past trilogy into these articles which i found from the trilogy's page on WoWWiki.com and in which 2 of these refrences were included in the article for actual notibility. Such as being featured on a Danish radio program more then once, as well as its own exclusive news article in a Danish newspaper.
All of these are reliable sources and prove the notibility of this trilogy of epic films, which should be included. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.110.92.111 (talk • contribs)
Tales of the Past notability
Here are the links too the websites which i believe verify its notibility, here is the newspaper aricle link: [1] And here is a link too the creator of the series' Interview on the Danish tv program, [2] 71.110.92.111

Hi, thanks for the welcome.
And thanks for reviewing my contribution. However, I do not believe your statement: "adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Halo (series)" is quite correct.
If you review my addition, I merely linked existing Wikipedia entries together in coherent logical manner. Otherwise Halo (megastructure) is inappropriately isolated from Halo (series). A reader of Wikipedia would have to know to jump back to disambiguation, then to Halo (megastructure) which is not at all optimal for such related items. Additionally, Wikipedia IS the verified source. A footnote for every wiki self-link is not in the guidelines, and does not appear to be common practice. ?
Also, the link to Ringworld section 3.2 Variations refers to the phrase "the ring-shaped Halo structure of the video game series of the same name" within the article. The entry Halo (megastructure) contains the phrase "Halos are superficially similar in shape and design to the "Ringworld" from the 1970 science fiction novel by Larry Niven." There should be a mention in Halo (Series) to be accurate in detail. Again wikipedia is the reference. If my contribution here is stricken, then the pre-existing sections for the Ringworld and megastructure entries should also be stricken, yes? I believe this would be wrong, however, as the plot of a novel obviously will always resolve to itself (ie. the Ringworld entry does not reference an external full copy of the text!). I've read the verification guidelines, and they do not seem to discuss this case any differently. I would appreciate any clarification as I cannot understand the problems at with the sentence I've added. I've contributed before, but it's been a while, so thanks again!
EDIT: Nevermind, I finally found a reference that should be acceptable to 'gamers'. Whew, this is a lot harder and takes much longer than I thought! Thanks again, I hope it is alright now
EDIT: Argh. I spent forever going through tutorials to see if there was easier way to do citations. Finally found templates in a different section (tuts need help) Then redo, find reference, link, fix typos, preview, preview. But you beat me to it! I'm so way out of time, sorry can't merge. You weren't harsh--good intentions. More prominent examples, easier syntax for citations=more citations by casual users, FWIW. I'll just add it, you pick. Merge way too confusing :(
.swarmofkillermonkeys 09:28, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
I think I'm just too slow for this editing. But thanks for your help! I'm not even sure if I'm doing the "talk" think right. After you showed me Wikipedia:Featured_articles it all makes sense; I'd no idea Halo was so controversial! I picked the wrong place to try and remember editing. Lol. All night to link 3 pages together (poorly)... I'd never get very far. ;) I'll look some other day for a feedback place to reaffirm "merge is a pain at current" and "more prominent citation templates in tutorials". Good luck!

Hani and Sheh Mureed
I cleaned up Hani and Sheh Mureed somewhat, added some links, references, and a category, and removed the tags you had placed on it after closing the AFD. It would be good if you could review it again for wikification. Feel free to add any tags again as you see fit. ●DanMS • Talk 03:58, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Re: Master Chief (Halo)
Doesn't matter to me. In any case, the way I have it now, prolly the first section under appearances could be renamed Early history or somesuch, and then reference the details in context of FoR or whatnot. You're absolutely right. That's really the last section that needs to be cleaned up to proper tense and formatted (although I need to see if I can find more references/allusions to the Chief in other media.) David Fuchs (talk) 17:38, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
- I moved it around, but still need to clean out the cruft, tensify it, and source it (which might be hard, as I don't have a good copy of GoO at the moment, and I need to read FoR first.) But it'll get done. Thanks for the complement: the only reason I actually got around to cleaning it up was I got the Art of Halo offline and I found a good interview with Steve Downes online. Vandalism on TFA (User talk:74.12.22.188)
Please be a little more stern when someone replaces TFA with obscenities. I would give them a blatant vandalism warning if they did that on any page, and an only warning on TFA (and they had two vandal edits before being warned). We can't put up with crap like that on TFA. Thanks, Richard001 06:17, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
The blatant vandal template is {{uw-bv}}, which is handy for very obvious vandalism like this. It isn't overly stern, but makes it easier to block people if they continue (admins can still block if needed, but it normally only happens after a last warning is given). I just use Twinkle as it's faster than typing it up manually. Richard001 06:24, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

Machinima rewrite
Sounds good, as always. I'll try to get around to having a full look at the Machinima article soon, in regards to what you said about missed points. May as well work the old memory banks. That said, I "got" into Quake movies about 2000, when they had all but died out.--Drat (Talk) 13:35, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
- Shouldn't be too much of a problem. IIRC, after Seal of Nehahra, Hardly Workin' and the novelty of the ILL Clan's live performances, the community slowed down considerably, and didn't pick up again until RvB got mainstream notice, which of course saw a lot of new blood come in.--Drat (Talk) 02:50, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

I have to admit I ain't that fussed. It is a long way-away and I have done all the wards in my Borough and only want to seed a wider interest in ward level divisions as a starting point for democratic engagement in the UK. I also want to play some catchup with the level of depth achieved by the US Wiki.

AuctionPlayer
AuctionPlayer.com listings keep getting deleted? I would like to take part in the debate of deletion of auctionplayer. AuctionPlayer is a notable company. We have been encore guests of the national radio show computer america (4 1 hour appearances)and 4 appearances on PC Chat show and appearances on bits and bytes radio show. We have appeared with the Griff on the Ebay radio show.
We have managed over 1 million ebay listings to date. Auctions with an auctionplayer listing sell for 32% higher price than users listings with no auctionplayer's. Auctionplayers get viewed 180,000 times per month. These are all statistics we have based on 2 years of logging data from the site. The highest priced item to sell with an auctionplayer is $180,000 My name is Dan Uselton Owner. My tech team is made up of former members of Microsoft. AuctionPlayer is a free site so there is no self promotion for profit. I do believe AuctionPlayer is too big not to be included in Wikipedia. Warmest regards,
Dan Uselton. AuctionPlayer (dan_uselton@auctionplayer.com)
P.s. Alexa is the only credible, national web ranking system, that we are aware of. They log ip addresses and so spamming is prohibited. Our ranking is 120,000 of all web sites in america. Wikipedia is ranked # 9. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Uselton (talk • contribs)

Why was Sepultura's 11th album's page nominated for deletion?
That was all the info we had at the time. I created it, putting info from heavy metal magazines like Kerrang! and their official website, into my own words. They are indeed going to make an album in 2008 with Jean Dollabella. All I'm saying is that we're going to need an article for it sooner or later. I accidentally created it as Sepultura's 13th album at first (overlooked that Besital Devastation and Revolusongs were EPs), but I fixed it so that it'd display what it really was: their 11th studio album. Please discuss this with me on my talk page. Dark Executioner 14:33, 4 September 2007 (UTC)Dark Executioner
Ah... The dreaded crystal ball. I was afriad of that. I also created an article for Rob Zombie's live album, but it was deleted for the same reason. Now it's an article again, and it hardly has any more info than the initial one that I created. As for putting the album info into Sepultura's main article, well, that ouldn't make sense to me. Really, the most noteworthy thing about it so far is the fact that it's their 1st album without a Cavalera. I was going to wait and create the article again once more info came out, anyway. Thanks for your help. Dark Executioner 15:05, 4 September 2007 (UTC)Dark Executioner
