Thanks so much for the info, and for optimizing my Bailey reference on Machinima. Much appreciated.

Thank you but it was not vandalism
Dear TKD, Thanks for protecting my page, but it was me not a vandal who updated the page, sorry I forgot to login. After I joined Victim Support services I decided to update my page by the inclusion of victimology...LOL However I feel much safer now. Thanks again --Cyril Thomas 13:10, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

Adam Greves hoax, troll
Hi TKD, I see you closed the Adam Greves article as a delete. Since this hoax was the sole contribution of User:Mark1mark2, may I suggest he be blocked as a vandalism only account (and nearly certainly a sock puppet of User:R:128.40.76.3, User:Iconoclast4ever, User:A.J.1.5.2., User:Tim.Boyle. Note that User:R:128.40.76.3 (who participated in the AfD has been blocked indefinately after admitting to intention to troll [1]. Pete.Hurd 13:48, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Whoops
Didn't know about the cutting and pasting policy. I'll stop doing it that way. I was trying to show a willingness to play by the rules by redirecting the article myself and redirecting to an article which I felt was a more mature approach. Holme053 16:54, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Aerial Video Systems page
Hello,
I noticed our Wikipedia page has been deleted. Recently, a competitor fraudulently changed our page and subsequently admitted to doing so. It was fixed, and now I see our page has been deleted. Why was our page deleted and is it possible to have our page reinstated to its original version?
Thank You,

Machinima edit
I will not tolerate being reprimanded like a child. This series will be released and you've no right to delete information. Halo 3 hasn't come out yet, yet you can 'advertise' it! Am I not to be allowed to type information about something just because it hasn't been released yet? I wish to know. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.7.212.10 (talk) 23:21, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Stupid Spartan Show
Hello TKD,
I am the future host of The Stupid Spartan Show, which will premiere in Fall 2007. I am a member of Wikipedia and enjoy Halo and RvB myself! I understand why the article was deleted. Just be sure to watch on YouTube in November!
With Best Regards,

Thanks!
I appreciate the kind words TKD. But I don't really feel like I've done anything worthy for Wikipedia :(. If you have any recommendations for articles that need editing, please let me know.
Thank you kindly,

Red vs. Blue
Looks like you and I were edit conflicting in trying to undo the vandal moves of this...hope I didn't cause you grief. FWIW, given the spate of crap from the offending editor, I've blocked him as a vandal-only account. Cheers! AKRadeckiSpeaketh 17:19, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
A penny for your thoughts
I saw this article on Shoutwire. Long story short is that they're pissed because the article on their site was deleted for not asserting notabilty, and because other similar sites weren't immediately deleted, that (obviously) shows that we are all biased (like we are some strange collective mind) against Shoutwire. Could you offer your sane, clear reasoning (as you always do) in the discussion? I've already added in my 5 cents worth.--Drat (Talk) 15:16, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Recording machinima
TKD, I was wondering, could you tell me how to record machinima? I've got everything set up for SSS, I just need to know how to record :) Thanks.

Halo 3 Multiplayer Maps
Hey TKD,
What with Halo 3 content being slowly revealed, I am wondering if it is permissible to type about the multiplayer maps of Halo 3?
May Your Clip Stay Full!
P.S. The info you gave me on machinima recording was very helpful! I can't wait to share!

WAF
TKD, I'd appreciate any input you could provide here with regard to this. I don't think this change has consensus (at least not with me). Instead of reverting, I commented there so that we can establish consensus on this. I'm currently making the round to "canvass" for some input and since I value your opinion, I decided to notify you alongside several other more or less regular contributors to WT:WAF. — [ aldebaer] 23:27, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

Harry S. Truman
That's fine if you unprotected Harry S. Truman. Even though I know the Main Page featured article is rarely semi-protected, and even more rarely, fully-protected, I was hesitant about doing the unprotecting myself. I hoped that Rlevse was still online, which is why I went with discussion rather than undoing another administrator's action
With the current rate of vandalism, I don't beleive semi-protection is necessary. I see no reason for me or another administrator to re-protect in any form.
Thanks for handling the unprotection. Acalamari 22:44, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- Can we re-protect it now that it is not the Main Page FA? WikiDon 00:40, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Middle initial
I read the discussion page and the consensus is not to have a period. Saying that there is a consensus is incorrect.
Why not put both names, "Harry S. Truman or Harry S Truman". After all, even the article suggests there is confusion and rationale for both. Correction pal 23:52, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
Consensus CAN change and has changed. Some people can keep on insisting until others say "just let them have their way". This is not to say you are like this. However, please consider the new consensus and follow that consensus. Correction pal 00:04, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Machinima list
Yes, genre is definately the way to go. Especially as more sophisticated engines gain machinima capabilites (or uses are discovered), the engines used will/have become less important. Some of those engines have only been used for one or two notable productions. An article on production techniques would certainly be the best place for the bulk of info on the engines.--Drat (Talk) 02:32, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Master chief
that link has plenty to do wit the article, its priving something, because on wiki you need a source. so I posted a FACT about the master chief and backed it up, it is NOT redundant PseudoKirby 19:04, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
ok I see, I searched for it and didnt notice it
but that is HORRIBLY organized, it should be in the form of a biography for the chief, seeing as the books are canon it shouldnt just summarize the books, it should be telling his story in better order, that article is... sporadic?

The newsletter is back! Many things have gone on during the past few months, but many things have not. While the assessment drive helped revitalize the assessment department of the project, many other departments have received no attention. Most notably: peer review and our "workgroups". A day long IRC meeting has been planned for October 13th, with the major focus being which areas of the project are "dead", what should our goals be as a project, and how to "revive" the dead areas of our project. Contribute to the discussion on the the new channel (see below) We decided to deliver this newsletter to all project members this month but only those with their names down here will get it delivered in the future. This is your newsletter and you can be involved in the creation of the next issue. Any and all contributions are welcome. Simply let yourself be known to any of the undersigned or post news on the next issue's talk page
Lastly, a new WikiProject Biography channel has been set up on the freenode network: Our thanks to Phoenix 15 for setting it up.
