Tjun Tjun

Tjun Tjun is a former badminton player from Indonesia. Though a world class level singles player early in his career, he became a brilliant doubles specialist. His game was notable for its speed, power, accuracy, and aggressiveness. He is the brother of Liang Qiu-xia, also a world-class badminton player and a very successful coach.
Tjun Tjun became world champion in men's doubles in the 1977 IBF World Championships, with Johan Wahjudi[1].
They also won 6 All England Open Badminton Championships between 1974 and 1980[2]. Playing doubles, first with Rudy Hartono, and later with Wahjudi, he won all of his matches in three consecutive Thomas Cup campaigns (1973, 1976, 1979), all of which ended in world championships for Indonesia[3].
