Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to TJ Norris. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, as you did at TJ Norris. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.
Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.
If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. Coren 00:49, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from articles you have created yourself, as you did with TJ Norris. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. In this particular case, you did remove the copyright violation, but you should still have waited for an admin to have removed the tag.
I'm still worried about your very obvious conflict of interest. You have to understand that Wikipedia should not be used as a vehicle for promotion, and that you still need to meet notability guidelines. Coren 01:25, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia. But…
…I've added the "{{prod}}" template to your user page (User:Tjnorris), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy).
Please note that the purpose of a user page is not as personal homepage or used as a general webhosting service, but as way for active editors of Wikipedia to introduce themselves to other editors. If you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues here or on my user talk page. You may remove the deletion notice, and the page will not be deleted for the moment, but note that it may still be sent to Miscellany for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria.
If you wish to contribute directly to Wikipedia and your page has already been deleted, you can ask any admin to undelete and restore it: if necessary, leave me a message and I'll pass on your request. To begin editing, here are some pages that you might find helpful:
