New Yorker Tish Bellomo, along with sister Snooky Bellomo, was a member of rock group The Stilettos with singer Debbie Harry. (Harry is best known as co-founder and lead singer of Blondie.) The sisters also sang back-up at a few early Blondie gigs at CBGB's and went on to form another band called the Drop-Outs. In 1977, their friend Russell Wolinsky invited them to join a band he was forming "for one gig" called the Sic F*cks, and the sisters still perform once a year under that name.
According to their website, Tish and Snooky opened the first punk rock boutique on St. Mark's Place in New York City in 1977. The Bellomo sisters own the brand Manic Panic, an alternative makeup and fashion accessories company. Many notable rock musicians wear their designs, including Debbie Harry, Steven Tyler, and Cyndi Lauper. Tish and Snooky are vegetarians and all Manic Panic products are vegan.
