Tisens (Tesimo) (Italian: Tesimo; German: Tisens; Archaic (1164AD): Teseno) is a comune (municipality) in the province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 60 km north of the city of Trento and about 15 km northwest of the city of Bolzano. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,842 and an area of 38.1 km².[1]
The municipality of Tisens (Tesimo) contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Caprile, Grissiano, Narano, Plazzoles, Prissiano, and Schernag.
Tisens (Tesimo) borders the following municipalities: Gargazon (Gargazzone), Lana, Nals (Nalles), St. Pankraz (San Pancrazio), and Unsere Liebe Frau im Walde-St. Felix (Senale-San Felice).
