[edit] Baden 9 Kreuzer error

You might be interested to know that David Feldman is auctioning a unique unused example of the Baden 9 Kreuzer error next month. It has an estimate of €1–1.5 million. It is in the Rarities of the World catalogue and also has its own individual catalogue with lots of background. Both catalogues are available from this page on the company website. When it sells I will add a bit to the article though there is quite a bit to be added even now from the catalogue. Cheers ww2censor (talk) 17:32, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for the note! That is indeed a breaking news! I am thinking about restructuring the article. What do you think about a section, which tells the story of each stamp copy? Kind regards, Tirkfl (talk) 12:22, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
If you have the info and it is well sourced, go for it. Cheers ww2censor (talk) 15:51, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
I have added information about the single stamps referring to the auction catalogue. Please can you read through the new version of the article? Tirkfl (talk) 10:28, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Updated image

Image:Average prokaryote cell- en.svg, with incorrect structure (en:mesosome) removed. Could you translate this to German and update their image? Thank you. Tim Vickers (talk) 15:56, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Airmail translation

I replied on my talk page in case you are not watching it. ww2censor (talk) 15:59, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Any chance you got someone to proof-read the article yet? I would like to start moving forward. ww2censor (talk) 04:24, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
I asked somebody to proofread the article, but he did not reply yet. Let's set a deadline, then we are going to proofread it ourselves. Regards, Tirkfl (talk) 09:07, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
It has already been there for nearly 2 months, so how long a deadline do you want, as I will be going away until the end of April. Let's say May 1, ok? ww2censor (talk) 15:30, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
May 1 is ok. Meanwhile I am going to ask a few other proofreaders too. Regards, Tirkfl (talk) 08:10, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Matthias Behr

Hello again! Could I interest you in translating this article from the German wikipedia's article? Apparently I'm not the only one who thinks it needs translating, as someone has also listed it already last year at Wikipedia:Translation :D -Yupik (talk) 17:27, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Beautiful, thanks! I'll start the proofreading job on the other one in the beginning of next week. Thanks again! -Yupik (talk) 09:10, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Willi Baumeister

Hi, as you may have already seen, I included the translation we talked about. Let me know on my personal talk page if there is anything "formal" that I can or have to do. Thank you, Docbernd (talk) 06:40, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Protein/gene stubs

As the edit summaries say, it's stub-sorting, due to the enormously oversized state of Cat:protein stubs. This scheme was well-flagged in advance. What precisely do you find "annoying" about it? Alai (talk) 23:24, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Firstly, please reply at my talk page, not my bot's. Secondly, please don't revert these edits at all (especially if you find doing so annoying). The protein stubs were preposterously oversized, are still oversized, and this is the scheme for sorting them that was agreed. If you have a better idea, or indeed any other idea whatsoever for dealing with this vast number of protein/gene stubs, please propose it in the appropriate venues, don't just start drifting back to the previous, unsatisfactory, status quo. These articles are all categorised as genes (as well as proteins), which is why that scheme was proposed, an why the bot's re-sorting them on that basis. I would not be opposed to a wording change on the stub type to something like "gene, or protein by chromosome number", or something on those lines, if that would address your concerns. Alai (talk) 14:33, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
The discussion was at WP:WSS/P: it'll be in those archives somewhere, let me know if you have trouble finding it, and I'll dig it out for you. It was flagged up at the MCB WPJ, and there was certainly inout from that quarter. (If there were other places I should have polled but didn't, that's regrettable, but WP is a pretty sprawling place these days...) Alai (talk) 13:01, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
It was in March 2008. Her Pegship (tis herself) 23:59, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Sparrenburg Castle

hi, just letting you know that I proofread your translation of Sparrenburg Castle, including updating it with some new stuff from the German article. I hope you'll look over my changes and if you're satisfied one of us can remove the "proofreaders needed" tag and translation request. Also, if you ever want a proofreader/second opinion for any other translations, feel free to let me know. All the best, Jieagles (talk) 16:09, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
