[edit] History

I moved the following sentences here from the end of the History section as they do not mean anything to a person who lacks local knowledge.

Adisankarar is the person who stopped the Bali poojas conducted here at vattaparaiamman sanathi.
The temple is also famous for its Suyambhu sivalingam, God siva blesses people in the form of suyambhu
and it is the moolavar of the temple.

By all means reinstate them if the redlinks can be redirected to articles that explain the words; alternatively, please explain them in this article. - Fayenatic (talk) 17:43, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
