[edit] Tyrol

Shouldn't this page actually be moved to Tyrol, Italy or Tyrol (village), etc. to use English? Icsunonove 06:44, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Tyrol?

Tyrol is the English name of the region and of the Austrian state. Is there any evidence that this spellig is used for the town? If not, then the spelling should be Tirol. Sometimes the castle is spelled Tyrol Castle, but this makes sense because it was the seat of the Counts of Tyrol.  Andreas  (T) 15:33, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi Andreas, I understand your point. But, it seems to me that if the word Tirol(o) is Tyrol in English, it should be used consistently. "The Count of Tyrol got its name from the Tyrol Castle in the village of Tyrol". Icsunonove 17:40, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
