Signing your posts on talk pages prevents readers from getting your messages confused with those by other users. Also, it is considered proper "Wikiquette" (WI-kee-ket) to sign your messages. To do this, type four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your comments. When you save the page, these will be converted to your signature followed by a date stamp. To sign without a date stamp, use three tildes (~~~) instead.
Another way to sign is to click on the signature icon in the toolbar at the top of the edit box, which will insert the code wherever the blinking cursor is.
The default signature for your account is your username, but you can customize it in your preferences menu.
