[edit] Redirect

We should probably set this to redirect to the Tippmann page, as all it's info is there. Save space maybe? Bpogi92 03:42, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

It should at least have a more informative title, perhaps along the lines of the Tippmann 98 custom article? - Maximilli, 22:29, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Barrels

hey i'm not sure about anyone else but i no for a fact that there are a lot more barrels for the A-5 than just the Flatline (i no of the progressive, and the ceramic JP?? i'm not sure of the exact name of the last one but you get the point). So should we add this stuff in or.... anyways let me know if you do something, or decide to do nothing

[edit] flatline

hey the page talks about the flatline barrel on the tippmann A-5 is hard to clean, and that you have to losen up 3 bolts, and it doesn't screw out.

i personally don't have a flatline but i'm pretty darn sure that on the A-5 it's very easy to clean, and that it screws out. i think the flatline that it's talking about is for the 98 custom.

i'm gonna wait a bit for comments, then completely revamp that section.

  • I do have one and it does NOT screw out, but only 2 pins must be removed

I have been reading reviews on this, and most players claim that the Flatline is extremely accurate; more than almost any other barrel. They also say that balls never break, unless you are using paintballs that are too large for the barrel.--Clegs 17:27, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

I've used the flatline before, and it's something else... my friend never got his dialed in, so the performance was "iffy". Some shots would sail left, others far to the right, but somewhere near 20-25% of them would fly straight as an arrow. It's really picky with paint, and it seems that no two flatlines are alike. It appears that Tippman's q/a on the flatlines leaves something to be desired. Ball breaks are unforgiving, as I've seen, and not only paint size, but it seems that sometimes velocity can affect that.
Some flatlines are great, but if you are reading the reviews on pbreview.net, you have to realise that none of those posters do any scientific verification of their results. To my knowledge, very few of them have marked an exact firing distance, taken wind, temperature, and humidity measurements, chronographed every shot, and accurately tracked a controlled sample of shots. Impressions are nice, but that's all they are. Science, and encyclopedias demand more. CameronB (talk) 11:13, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] What position?

I have an A-5 with flatline & response trigger, but I am not sure what position I should play, although what a gunner does seems to be what I usually do. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.81.53.142 (talk) 23:08, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
