Tinshill

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tinshill (pronounced Tins-hill) is a district 4 miles (7 km) north of Leeds City Centre, West Yorkshire, England. It is situated between Horsforth and Cookridge.

The area is mainly made up of former Leeds City Council housing although a growing number of the houses are now privately owned. It is also near to the Tinshill BT Tower also known as the Cookridge Tower one of the highest points in the city. Horsforth railway station is actually closer to Tinshill than it is to Horsforth, only being called Horsforth railway station due to its postcode area.

Tinshill (Working Mens Club) on Silk Mill Drive is the terminus of the First Leeds overground service 18, the Pink Line.
