Tine Kaayk

Tine Kaayk (1905–) is a Dutch physician, writer and editor. For many years she has been chairwoman of the NVB, the Dutch vegetarian society. She was an editor for the "Vegetarian Post" (Dutch:Vegetarische Bode). Wrote several books, including Responsible foods (Dutch:Verstandige voeding), Water treatment (Dutch:Waterbehandeling) and Saltless foods (Dutch:Zoutloze voeding). She was born in the socialist colony "Walden" in Bussum, the Netherlands. Both her parents were vegetarians and so was she. She studied under physician Maximilian Bircher-Benner.[1]
