Tin Maung (1913 – 2000) was a Burmese actor, director and producer.

His parents is U Ba Nyunt and Daw Nyein Shane. He passed Matrix ten standard from Yangon High school. In 1923 he started acting in "Taw Myaing Sone ka Lwan Aung Phan". In 1934 he attended Rangoon University. In his first film Mya Ga Naing (1934), he worked for the A1 film company. In 1942, he entered the Burma Independence Army.
He won Burmese film academy awards for best actor in the 1953 film Yadanar Pone and for Best Director in film Ko Yel Toe Yel Soe Soe Yel in 1967. He visited Indonesia in 1950, India in 1954 and Japan in 1955 for observation of film production techniques and to direct. He married with Daw Tin Tin and had five children. His second older brother is Nyi Pu. He awards with Yadana Bon in World Film Competition held at 1957 September 8. He was chairman of Film Council ( Myanmar Motion Picture Organization) from 1964 to 1966. He lived in Yangon, where he died on October 4, 2000.
