[edit] Spring Branch High School

Apologies, as I don't have the time right now to look up more specifics (so most of this is off the top of my head), but this is what I know without searching. Spring Branch High School is still standing - it was built in the 40's or 50's as the area expanded, I believe replacing what is now Spring Branch Elementary as the main school building in the area. The former high school is now the Spring Branch Education Center, housing the School of Choice (the alternative education campus) and also offices for various departments of the district. It's north of I-10 in or right next to Spring Valley at the corner of Campbell Road and Westview. Hope that helps! --Souperman 03:09, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Carlos Duarte Costa

Hey there :) I'll be honest with you, when I rated this article, I was doing so as part of the Biography Assessment Drive, which is a project to assess all unassessed biography articles as Stub, Start or B class, and was only doing so based on the level of content and the layout of the article; the Stub/Start/B ratings aren't really much of a big deal. However, the rating I gave it (B Class) is as high as one can rate an article without putting it through a process - the next level up, which is Good Article status, requires a professional review of the content, referencing, images etc.

I'm no expert in this topic, so couldn't offer too many tips on how to get it up to Good Article status, but reading through it just now, it certainly seemed like it might meet all six criteria; each paragraph seems to have a reference in there, the pictures are fine, it doesn't seem to be biased, and isn't the subject of any edit wars. I would suggest listing it at Wikipedia:Good article candidates. Someone who can offer a thorough review of the content will read it and do so, and either promote it to GA if it meets the criteria, or otherwise offer some good tips on how it can be improved. Hope this helps, and keep up the good work, - Zeibura (Talk) 12:38, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding Ismailism

Thanks for pointing that out. I rewrote most of the Ismaili article as it is in its present form. So, the question comes about, why does it end so shortly? First off, let me answer your other questions.

The identity of Aga Khan IV is talked about in the Nizari section of the article, because he leads the branch of the faith. As for why Ismailis aren't real Muslims, I failed here in assuming that everyone knew that mainstream Islam hates groups like Ismailis that do not follow shariah. This was a bias of mine not to point out since it's so obvious to me, so I think I'll try to get that fixed soon (I'm on vacation right now!)

As for the difference in general between Ismailis and mainstream Shi'ahs, that is gone over a bit, but not enough. I'll try to add new sections helping people understand what's going on.

So, now as to why I didn't write the history any further. There are basically two reasons. First off, after the general history I wrote the three groups (Nizari, Druze, and Mustaali) split so far apart in their exterior theological development as well as history and environment that those particular histories should rather be confined to those articles with a synopsis of them in their respective sections on the main Ismaili article. However, so far no one has stepped up to really complete that task (with exception to the Druze community, whom I applaud). So, for example, it would be like if I put the entire history of Catholicism in the Christianity article. Typically, the bulk of the Christian history article should go up to maybe from 50 BC to 300 AD in my opinion, discluding much of the Church of Rome's history and development. I haven't really been observing what they've been doing there, though.

Second reason is I don't have enough details to complete their histories myself (except perhaps Nizari). So, me doing it may be out of the question, but we'll see. Thanks again for your comment. --Enzuru 10:28, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for more of your advice

Your recent (well, for a man on vacation it is recent) on Ismailism has been very helpful. Hopefully in the next version of this article that I draft I will incorporate the terminology issues to make it better. Right now the article is at a B, but hopefully with your support and all the other Wikipedians we will have an A article. Thakns once again! --Enzuru

[edit] Another talk on technical terminology

Today I relooked over the article and your suggestions, and had an idea. Since I'm in the position of knowing much of the vocabulary and have familiarity with the subject, I would not be in the best position to simplify it. However, I read a sample of your simplification, and I wondered, could you help us simplify the article? I think you're one of the best people for the job. Contact me soon about this, and take care of yourself. --Enzuru 23:02, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Request for help with Antiochian Catholic Church in America article

while I realize this article may not fall within your primary purview, I would appreciate your help in protecting it from edits which are, at best, POV, and at worst, defamatory and/or vandalism, emanating from a suspended deacon-monk of this Church, of which, in the interests of full disclosure, I am a priest. Thanks in advance for your help in this matter, and if you have comments, questions, or concerns, please contact me via my talk page. --Midnite Critic (talk) 08:35, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
