The trend is to write "about" pieces in the style of a Wikipedia article, so why not? Please note that in no way is this an attempt to get a Wikipedia entry. There was very briefly a page on me which was thankfully deleted. You'll see from this just why I totally flunk the notability test.
Timothy Charles Roll-Pickering (born August 11, 1980) is a PhD student at Queen Mary, University of London and utterly non-notable blogger in the United Kingdom.
Coming from Epsom in Surrey, Roll-Pickering was educated at Downsend School in Leatherhead, Radley College in Oxfordshire and the City of London School. He attended the University of Kent and Birkbeck, University of London before starting PhD research at Queen Mary, looking at the management of UK MPs during the National Goverment of Neville Chamberlain.
Roll-Pickering joined the Conservative Party in 1997 and has campaigned for it at the last three general elections. Whilst at the University of Kent he served in several officer posts for Kent University Conservative Association. He has also served as a student representative for several organisations, including the University of Kent Students' Union, Queen Mary Students' Union, the University of London Union and the National Postgraduate Committee.
In 2005 Roll-Pickering began a blog and has continued it to date. In 2006 he joined with many other bloggers under the editorship of Iain Dale and Guido Fawkes to contribute to The Little Red Book of New Labour Sleaze.
He presently lives in Forest Gate in Newham, London.
