Timur Taymazov (Russian/Ukrainian: Тимур Таймазов, born September 8, 1970) is an Ukrainian weightlifter and Olympic champion.
He was born in Nogir, North Ossetia. Timur has a younger brother Artur who is also 2004 Olympic Champion in freestyle wrestling.
He won a gold medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.[1] He received a silver medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona.[2]
