Timothy Michael Dolan (born February 6, 1950) is the tenth Roman Catholic Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.

Born on February 6, 1950, to Robert and Shirley Dolan, Timothy Michael Dolan enrolled at St. Louis Preparatory Seminary in Shrewsbury, Missouri. He furthered his education at Cardinal Glennon College, and holds a BA in philosophy. He attended the Pontifical North American College in Rome and earned a License in Sacred Theology at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum).

Dolan was ordained to the priesthood on June 19, 1976, and held his first position at Immacolata Parish in St. Louis, Missouri. He began doctoral studies at The Catholic University of America in 1979 with a concentration on the history of the Church in America. He is now a member of the Board of Trustees at CUA. After Dolan finished his doctoral studies he returned to Missouri where he served as a parish priest for four years. In 1987 Dolan was appointed to the position of secretary to the Apostolic Nunciature in Washington, D.C. He returned to Missouri in 1992 where he was appointed Vice Rector of the Kenrick-Glennon Seminary, where he also taught Church history.

Then, in 1994 Dolan was appointed Rector of the Pontifical North American College in Rome; he served in this capacity until June 2001, during which time he wrote his book: Priests for the Third Millennium. On June 19, 2001, he was named the Auxiliary Bishop of St. Louis, Missouri, by the late Pope John Paul II. On June 25, 2002, the then Bishop was named Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, also by Pope John Paul II. He was installed on August 28, 2002, as the city's tenth archbishop by Archbishop Gabriel Montalvo Higuera, the former papal nuncio to the United States, at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist. Dolan was preceded by Archbishop Rembert Weakland.

Priests For the Third Millennium is a collection of talks Archbishop Dolan has given to the seminarians and priests at the Pontifical North American College in Rome, a school for Roman Catholic seminarians and priests. The book is divided into chapters on different topics and virtues and then ends with a section on devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. He weaves together sound theology with personal stories to create a masterpiece for seminarians, priests, and lay faithful alike.
