Timon Pater is a subgenus of Timon which belongs to the family of Lacertidae, the wall lizards.

There are two subspecies:
- Timon pater pater (LATASTE, 1880)
- Timon pater tangitana (BOULENGER, 1889) (common name: German: Marokko-Perleidechse)
[edit] Distribution
Timon Pater is native to Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco.
The subspecies are native to:
- pater: eastern part of Morocco, E of Oued Moulouya Valley, Algeria
- tangitana: mediterranian regions of Morocco, mountains of NW part of Algeria, isolatated populations higher altitudes in Saharian Atlas (Ibel Ksel), and Seguiat et Hamra , Western Sahara.
