  • Queen's Park became the first ever Scottish football team to participate in official competion when they played in the 1871–72 FA Cup semi-final against Wanderers, the match ended goalless. Queen's, however, could not afford to extend their stay long enough for the tie to be replayed and were forced to withdraw.
