Time, Be Still is the fourteenth episode[1] of Mobile Suit Gundam.
[edit] Plot summary
On a Zeon base, a magician treats the unammused crowd to a show. Nearby, three soldiers speak on the fact that the Federation Mobile suit is nearby. Their CO is too cowardly to do something, but a group of the soldiers is getting together to stage an attack. Unfortunately, they only have one mobile suit.
Matilda has once again met with White Base, and her men are repairing and resupplying the ship. Matilda informs Bright that they are currently functioning as a source of data, as amateurs often come up with more "interesting" strategies. She also reveals that General Revil has been the one who's kept Bright from being court martialed up to now. Bright spots Amuro, and sends him to bed. Near his room, he finds an upset Fraw, who claims nothing's wrong and runs away.
When day breaks, Amuro runs to the bridge, watching Matilda fly off in her Medea as Fraw watches on. Two men in a Luggun spot her, and the Zeon base mobilizes. Their Zaku hits the Medea hard, and White Base approaches to support her. Amuro launches, and provides enough distraction for Matilda to escape. On the ground, a bunch of soldiers on hoverbikes surround Gundam, preparing to implement their plan. Amuro fires on them, but keeps losing them in the forest. He passes a group of them, and they fly up, placing explosives on Gundam. The soldiers fly off, and begin shooting for the bombs. They hit one on the shiled, which is destroyed, and Amuro understands what they're doing.
Amuro lands in a clearing, and the soldiers watch intently. There's only twenty minutes left until the remaining five bombs detonate. Amuro, Bright, and the ship's demolitions expert deliberate on the matter. Amuro decides to remove them by hand, and sets to work doing it. Fraw's emotions get a hold of her on the bridge, but Mirai tries to calm her down. Amuro gets to the last bomb, but it's under Gundam's arm, and Amuro begins digging furiously. The rest of the crew rushes on the scene, and lifts Gundam's arm. Amuro, Ryu, and Kai take the bombs far off, and just make it away in time. The soldiers who are watching gain deep respect for the pilot's bravery, and wonder who he is.
As everyone relaxes, a civilian station wagon pulls up. The soldiers, dressed as civilians, pull up, and look at everyone. They wish everyone luck and then drive off. Bright, unfooled, tells Mirai that they were the ones who planted the bombs.
