Tim "Tito" Owens

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tim "Tito" Owens, was a guitarist for the band Death by Stereo. He joined during the recording of the band's third album Into the Valley of Death, when previous guitarist Jim Miner, was forced to leave the band. Tito played on the band's 2005 release Death for Life.

Tito left the band in July of 2005. His last show was June 19th 2005, in Los Angeles, CA at the House of Blues. During the last song, Tito's knee gave out on him and he collapsed in pain. He was pretty hurt and needed help off the stage. A few weeks later it was announced that Tito was not in the band anymore.

"Yes, Tito is out of the band. He's still our friend and we care about him a lot so I'm not gonna come on here and talk shit and spill the beans of why he's gone. Please have some respect for Tito's feelings in this situation. We hope you will all give us time to find a suitable replacement for him. For now we have to tour as a four piece until we have time to try some people out. We're taking this very seriously. Don't worry, we're not gonna get some clown who can't play. Tito was a fucking great guitar player and we need to replace him with another great guitar player. "
