Tim, nicknamed "Dim" for his lack of intellect, was Nathan's best friend in the first few episodes.
[edit] Season 1
In the first season, Tim was Nathan's best friend and always helped him to bother Lucas and often took the blame for Nathan's mistakes. He is sex-obsessed and always wanting to party. Many affectionately referred to him as "the slut on the hill" for his pornographic fantasies often depicted on the show. He and Nathan grew more and more estranged over the years, since his behavior was pretty much bothering everyone and they felt he was a nuisance.

In the later seasons, his role was much less important. In Season 2, he confronted Nathan about their friendship and they resumed it, but nothing significant has happened since. He continues playing basketball and was very upset that no girl wanted him at the fantasy boy draft. In his time capsule entry he pretended to be harassed by girls and to be Brooke's boyfriend.
In season 4, his absence from the show was addressed in passing by his mother, Sherri, and Dan Scott. Apparently, Tim is in a special school for "slower" students.
[edit] Season 5
He appears as a pizza delivery boy when Haley, Peyton, Brooke, Mia and Lindsey are trapped in the school library. When Brooke races to hold the door open, Tim mistakes it as her rushing to hug him and subsequently causes them to continue to be trapped. He has a son whom he named Nathan[1]. and is later revealed to be married to Bevin[2]. A few hours later he reveals that he knew how to open the door all along but didn't because "I miss you guys. No one keeps in touch anymore."[3].

- A running joke about him is that he is shown as gay in every dream sequence he appears (Haley's, Nathan's).
