From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tim Parton is the pianist for the Southern Gospel Quartet Legacy Five. He has also played for Gold City, the Gaither Vocal Band, The Speer Family, Vestal Goodman, The Lesters, and others.[1]
[edit] History
When Anthony Burger died and Bill Gaither was looking for another featured pianist for the Gaither Homecoming Series, Parton filled in and was seriously considered for the position, but Gordon Mote got the job.[citation needed]
He has worked as a studio musician in Nashville, and also as a producer/arranger. He has produced and/or co-produced albums such as Legacy Five's Acappella, Know So Salvation, and A Little Christmas albums, as well as arranged songs on those albums.
He filled in for pianist Roger Bennett while he was sick and unable to travel with Legacy Five. He later got the position fulltime when Bennett died.[2]
