Tim Mitchell

Tim Mitchell is a producer, songwriter and guitarist from Detroit who has worked alongside musicians Bob Seger, Gloria Estefan, Mandy Moore, Jon Secada, and Shakira.

Mitchell grew up in Detroit, Michigan where he attended Interlochen Arts Acedemy, an independent high school dedicated to the arts. He then went on to graduate from the School of Music at the University of Miami.

In 1995, he found himself playing and touring in Bob Seger's band and co-writing three songs with Seger, for It's a Mystery album, including the albums first single,Lock and Load.

Mitchell produced Shakira's MTV Unplugged Album in 1999 that went on to win the Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album at the 43rd Grammy Awards. The album is considered to have paved the way for Shakira's successful English cross-over recording. He wrote and produced the song Whenever, Wherever for Shakira's Laundry Service album and produced her latest concert DVD from the Oral Fixation Tour.
