Tim Lokiec (born 1977, Cleveland, Ohio) is an artist based in New York.
He received his BA from Rhode Island School of Design and his MA from Columbia University.
Lokiec has shown work internationally in many exhibitions including ‘The Triumph of Painting’ at the Saatchi Gallery in London, ‘Women Beware Women’ at Deitch Projects in New York, the inaugural exhibition at Zenshi Gallery in Tokyo and ‘Contemporary Drawings from the Dakis Collection’ in Athens. He is represented by Zach Feuer in New York.
Roberta Smith, writing in The New York Times said of his work, "The clotted, druggy figurative paintings in Tim Lokiec's solo debut may be trying too hard, but they achieve a remarkable visual and emotional intensity, even when meaning and intention are hard to fathom."[1]
