Tim Lindsey (born June 15, 1983 in Bridgeport, West Virginia) is an American football long snapper for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League. He was originally signed by the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He played college football at West Virginia.

Lindsey attended Bridgeport High School in Bridgeport, West Virginia and was a student and a letterman in football, basketball, baseball, and track. In football, he started as a defensive end, and as a senior, he was an All-Big Ten Conference selection, was named to the All-Harrison County team, and was an All-State selection. After his senior football season, Lindsey was invited to participate in the North-South All-Star game. In basketball, he was a member of the 2001 West Virginia State Championship team. Tim Lindsey graduated from Bridgeport High School in 2001.
At West Virginia Tim was known as the best long snapper in the Big East and a stalwart for the Mountaineer special teams. Was extremely solid in that critical role and has never made a poor snap… Legendary Special Teams and former Miami Dolphins kicking coach Doug Blevins has called Tim, “The best Long snapper he has ever seen coming out of college” A team leader in the weight room setting position lifting records … Currently signed with the Seattle Seahawks for the 2008 season (1/15/08) Signed as an Undrafted FA by the Atlanta Falcons (released 6/12). 2007 Team Captain 4 times during the season and voted one of four permanent Team Captains for the year and the 2007 Gator Bowl. 2006 and 2007 All-Big East Academic Team… Winner of the 2006 Tom Nickolich Memorial Award from the Blue and Gold News for outstanding achievement by a walk-on in the Mountaineer football program… Awarded a full athletic scholarship in 2006…2006 Coaches Contribution Award…2007 Ira E. Rodgers Award presented to the player who has shown high leadership and academic qualities as well as football performance. …2003-07 Athletic Directors academic honor roll….Also played tight end during his career.
