Timothy A. Chey is a feature film writer and director of Fakin' Da Funk, Gone, Impact, and The Genius Club.

Educated at Harvard University, USC Film School, and Boston University School of Law. Chey's work has been seen on E! Entertainment, The Wall Street Journal, The LA Times, VIBE TV, MTV, Daily Variety, Hollywood Reporter, TNT, USA Networks, the Dove Awards, MovieGuide Awards, People Magazine, and the New York Times.
Tim Chey wrote and directed 'Fakin' Da Funk' that starred an all-star cast of Pam Grier, Bo Jackson, Nell Carter, Margaret Cho, John Witherspoon, Ernie Hudson, Kelly Hu, Duane Martin, and Tone Loc. The film was one of the highest rated movies on USA Networks in 2000.
In 2002, Chey finished the feature film Gone about 3 lawyers who deal with the Rapture. The movie was a smash success and it's been estimated that the film could have been seen by over 1.2 million people.
Chey worked as an entertainment lawyer for 2 years before calling it quits. "I refused to over-bill my clients, so I fired myself," he jokes. He spent the next 13 years writing 16 screenplays (many optioned or sold) and 3 novels. He also directs all of his work. Chey also volunteers his time for several organizations, including the Union Rescue Mission and as a counselor for the Billy Graham Organization.
In 2004, Chey flew around the world to India, Japan, Norway, Thailand, and England for the feature documentary Impact: The Passion of the Christ that looked at the impact The Passion of the Christ made around the world. Chey interviewed a neo-Nazi who turned himself in for the worst bombing in Oslo's history. He turned himself in one hour after seeing the movie. "Impact" was released into the theaters in December 2004.
In 2006, he finished writing and directing The Genius Club that stars Stephen Baldwin, Tom Sizemore, Jack Scalia, Paula Jai Parker, et al. The film was theatrically released on October 27, 2006 and will continue to tour the country.

Tim Chey's personal site is http://www.TimChey.com. Recently he began pre-production on his 5th movie that he will shoot in 4 countries. His interests are filming movies in locations that the movie audience has not seen. He has partnered up with Boliver Films in Caracas to do post-production work and has partnered with Nice Day productions in Tokyo for special effects work. Nice Day is one of the largest post houses in Tokyo.
In 2007-2008, Chey plans to fly to Mexico City, Tokyo, and Sydney in the coming year to help launch the release of his latest film, 'The Genius Club'. He will also return to South America to shoot his next film.
