[edit] Click locations

Maybe this is a browser issue, but the locations at which I can click to go to the relevant article seem to be almost a whole line too high, which means that I have to click on the name ABOVE the one I'm actually interested in Modest Genius talk 20:57, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

This is rather an issue that has always plagued EasyTimeline, the Wikipedia feature used to create this timeline: it uses an image map to simulate links but the target areas are usually a bit off. Unfortunately, it is particularly noticeable in this timeline due to the link huddling. I know of no workaround around this. :( --elzr 19:53, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
I'm probably just remarking the obvious but minding the status bar can be a great help to be sure you're clicking the hyperlink you really want. --elzr 05:23, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
Sure, that's what I did, but it doesn't really sort the problem does it ;) Modest Genius talk 18:43, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] English, British, Scottish?

This Template is 'incorrect': The monarchs after Queen Anne, are British monarchs; this template gives the false impression that the English monarchs had more prominances then the Scottish monarchs, in British history. GoodDay 19:50, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

It is not a false impression. The Scottish monarchs recognised the English monarchs as their feudal overlords for much of the middle ages. TharkunColl 22:56, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
Still, the British monarchs are the successors to the English and Scottish monarchs (not just the English monarchs). If this 'template' stays? a similar one must be made for the Scottish monarchs (Scottish into British). GoodDay 01:05, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
PS- this is a template of the English and British monarchs. GoodDay 01:19, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
This template is a visual representation of the list of English monarchs article. It seems best to me to wait for consensual change in the article before modifying this visualization. That said, two things: (1) We could add another horizontal layer to the timeline in which we include the evolving map of the territories ruled over. Might be cool. (2) I'd love to do a visualization of the list of monarchs of Scotland one day... Maybe if I made a monarch-timeline-making program... (Though reaction to the timelines hasn't been as positive as I expected...) --elzr 05:23, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
